Studio Profile: Bradley Glenn & U-Shin Kim
What Inspires You, Ami Cuneo?
Current Video Lineup
From the Chemosphere: Jason and Max
A new promo assignment desk, with lots of resources and direction for aspiring creators of promos, bumps, and station IDs
Journalism case studies and a call to arms from Sean Penn
Will You Be My Valentine Friend With Benefits?
Studio Profile: Bradley Glenn & U-Shin Kim
For their first pod, Bradley Glenn and U-Shin Kim provided a handful of young women with tequila and lollipops and invited them to speak frankly about their sex lives on camera. They called the product "Hooking Up" and added the subtitle, "real girls on love, money and finding Mr. Right." Some people who caught it on air found the piece controversial; to others it was refreshing. One thing is clear: It got people talking.
Glenn and Kim say they were drawn to Current in part because the short, non-fiction format allowed for just such an experiment. But they admit that the initial pod was motivated by good old fashioned heartbreak. (Glenn: "All these girls were breaking up with us." Kim: "Yeah, what's up with that?")

What Inspires You, Ami Cuneo?
After graduating from UCLA's Film and Television program with an award-winning short film, Ami worked as a re-writer and researcher at a company producing shows for the Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, and CourtTV. Since then, she has been commissioned to write, direct, and produce her own documentaries. She's a VC2 Associate Producer in the Current Studio.
In Best in Show, when Gerry Fleck (Eugene Levy) has to take the place of his injured wife and walk their terrier in the final round of the competition, he stumbles a bit. The TV commentator points out -- and then we notice -- that wait, Gerry's really got two left feet. It's fantastically absurd moments like this that inspire me. At least to laugh.

A Little Piece of Land
In South Los Angeles, a 14-acre urban farm is in danger of being bulldozed. The South Central Farmers talk about the connection between the land and the people of this mostly Mexicano community.
Dad's Home

HOAX: In Search of Bigfoot
From Team Oops, the guys who brought you ONLINE: The World of Warcraft and Knight of the Highway, here's a mockumentary investigation of the bigfoot myth and the people who keep it alive.
Smell Those Sweet, Sweet Pheromones
