Superstar Beyonce Knowles has thrilled her male fans and exposed her sensual side by posing on the cover of this year's swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated magazine.

The singer watched what she ate before the photo shoot and admits she found the experience nerve-wracking.

She says, "It takes a lot of guts. I'm really a shy person.

"But in my everyday world, as a musical performer, I'm playing a character. I had to tap that same character."
